Testimonials

I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Lisa Moore. It has been a total game changer for my rehab after my double mastectomy, chemo and radiation. Not only does she create a treatment plan for my ever changing physical and emotional condition, but also provides me with so much positivity and encouragement. Her range of skills are so helpful and has allowed me to recover so much faster than I ever expected . There are no words for my gratitude.

Thank you for being more than an excellent Physical Therapist! You are the complete package. I came to you with a heavy load after my first surgery, before and during my eighteen months of cancer treatments and you treated the entire person. Cancer and cancer treatments have many ugly faces and outside stress seems to push one’s limits. Your skills have helped me meet the intruder and fight back with proven techniques, like Mindfulness, isolating the pain with Tapping, and finding the ability from within oneself to relax into healing.  It is amazing how you can find and help alleviate the pain while equipping me with exercises and the mindset for real results.Your listening skills are unparalleled. I know that I am heard, and you help me to understand the “why” and how to better help myself. It was over a year before I found out that you were Dr. Lisa Moore. Your first words to me were “I am on your side”, from that moment I knew it was no longer… “me against the world”.

My cancer journey has been blessed with excellent Doctors and Nurses, but you have been the Steady Stay of this journey. You prove with your consistency and excellent dedication with each visit that it is about me, one of your many patients. God bless you.

After a year of breast cancer treatments involving chemotherapy, mastectomy and radiation, I had a sense of disconnect with my body to say the least.  My range of motion in my arms were about half of what it had been prior to treatments.  I also felt a lot of joint pain and aches.  My muscles had grown weak due to the lack of exercise during treatments.  It left me feeling scared, frustrated and sad.  I thought that this was a “new normal” that I had to accept and adjust to after everything that my body had endured.

This is when I met Lisa Moore.  Lisa is the best physical therapist that I have worked with.  She has a great and vast knowledge in the human physiology. She also gave me one thing that I could not begin to thank her for.  She gave me hope.  She gave me hope that one day, with work, I could get back to what my body could do prior to cancer. It was more of a holistic approach that she used to treat me.  Words of advice, and encouragement were integrated with the therapy sessions.  She worked with my body to help me regain strength and mobility.  When I had my major reconstruction which felt like I took many steps backward, she again encouraged me with positive energy, stretching and strengthening exercises.  She also performed body work on the areas that I could not release and ease with my own movement.

Fast forward to two years after diagnosis ~ I continue to see Lisa, working on strength and flexibility using various methods.  I marvel at how my body is responding to all the sessions at Reach Cancer Rehab and how far I have come.  It is my belief that I would not have made it this far in my rehabilitation without Lisa.  It is so important for other cancer survivors to know that we do not have to accept how our bodies feel after treatment.  We can get back to what our bodies could do prior to treatment and grow even stronger!

I never thought I would be back to normal again. I thought I would have to live with this pain forever. Lisa changed my life.

I needed help to get my strength back after chemo. When I started with Lisa, I needed a walker, when I finished, I was walking on my own power. She was knowledgeable, professional, and worked with me on many levels to improve my strength, my emotional, and spiritual health and self-esteem. I highly recommend her!

Cancer rehab has given me back my pride in being able to do things for myself. I have my independence back!

Lisa helped so much with my strength and physical abilities, but also my emotional outlook on life. I didn’t know it was possible to get better.  I would recommend cancer rehab to anyone after cancer treatment.

I was fortunate to have met Dr. Lisa Moore while receiving chemotherapy physical therapy.  She is so knowledgeable in her field and helped me through some tough times while teaching me great techniques to thrive and heal.

Once I finished with chemotherapy, I knew Dr. Lisa with her amazing positive energy would be the one to help me with my goals of better nutrition, calming techniques and strength training so I could “return to my improved self”.  I see Lisa each week – I really look forward to this hour!!

I would highly recommend her for any of your Physical Therapy +++ needs. She will tailor a plan to your needs as she is a great listener.

Dr Lisa is the real deal! I went to her with chronic neck pain, which was causing me to worry due to my breast cancer diagnosis in September 2018. I was worried it might have spread to my bones. With Lisa’s knowledge, experience, and understanding of breast cancer, she was able to reassure me, and help me focus on relieving my neck pain. Lisa focuses on the whole person and their wellness. Lisa has taught me coping strategies, and is working with me on my total wellness, from managing stress, building strength, improving flexibility and posture, and helping me manage the overall joint pains and stiffness from cancer treatment. Lisa is the calm in the middle of my storm (breast cancer and treatment). Her expertise, skills, and knowledge are evident in the treatment she provides. I always want to give her a big hug when I’m done seeing her! She’s the best!
